1200 Calorie Diabetic Diet

Here is a 3 days 1200 calorie diabetic diet. The purpose is to give you an idea on how you can plan for your breakfasts, lunches, or dinners ahead. The 1200 calorie diabetic diet provides about 20% from protein, 30% from fat, and 50% of calorie from carbohydrate.

Day 1 - 1200 Calorie Diabetic Diet Plan

BREAKFAST:
- 8 fl oz skim milk
- 1 small banana
- 1/2 cup oatmeal

LUNCH:
- Mineral Water
- 1/2 cup peaches
- 1 cup tomato soup
- 2 slice light bread
- 2 oz-low fat cheese
- 3 tsp margarine

DINNER:
- 1 6-inch floor tortilla
- 1/2 cup black beans
- 8 fl oz skim milk
- 1/2 cup fruit cocktail
- 2 oz low-fat cheese
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup peppers/onions

Day 2 - 1200 Calorie Diabetic Diet Plan

BREAKFAST:
- 1 41/2-inch waffle
- 2 Tbsp light syrup
- 1 tsp margarine
- 1 cup yogurt
- 3/4 cup blackberries
- Coffee or tea

LUNCH:
- 1/2 cup chili w/beans
- 6 saltine crackers
- 1/2 cup broccoli
- 1 Tbsp dip
- 1 apple
- Diet Soda

DINNER:
- 4 oz hamburger
- 1 hamburger bun
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 2 tomato slices
- 1 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 1/4 cup watermelons
- 8 fl oz skim milk

Day 3 - 1200 Calorie Diabetic Diet Plan

BREAKFAST:
- 1/2 cup TOTAL cereal.
- 8 fl oz skim milk
- 1/2 cup apple juice

LUNCH:
- 2 slices wheat bread.
- 2 oz turkey
- 2 tsp mayo
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 3 tomato slices
- 1 apple
- Diet soda

DINNER:
- 3 oz sirloin steak
- Small baked potato
- 1 tsp margarine
- 2 Tbsp sour cream
- 1 cup green beans
- 1 dinner roll
- 1 tsp margarine
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 8 fl oz skim milk
